Philadelphia, Pennsylvania – RXN, Inc. d/b/a Lancaster Pharmacy (“Lancaster Pharmacy”) has recently become aware of a data security incident that may have resulted in unauthorized access to the private information of our patients. At this time, there is no evidence of any attempted or actual misuse of any personal information. However, Lancaster Pharmacy is notifying, via first-class mail, any patient whose information may have been accessed to provide details of the incident and to provide resources to help protect our patients.

Specifically, on or about June 1, 2020 and again on October 26-27, 2020, four of Lancaster Pharmacy’s stores in Philadelphia, PA were broken into, looted, and vandalized during the periods of unrest the City of Philadelphia has experienced over the past several months. The looters took or destroyed most, if not all, of the pharmacies’ patient and prescription records that were in paper form. Business operations at Lancaster Pharmacy were halted for an extended period of time to repair the damage and inventory the stolen and destroyed patient records. Lancaster Pharmacy has since worked diligently to determine exactly what information was involved as a result of this Incident.

After a thorough investigation and inventory of its patient records, Lancaster Pharmacy determined that the following elements of personal information may have been accessed and/or acquired by an unauthorized individual: names, dates of birth, addresses, and patient prescription information. Once again, Lancaster Pharmacy has no evidence of attempted or actual misuse of anyone’s information as a consequence of this incident.

In light of this incident, Lancaster Pharmacy is offering complimentary identity theft restoration and credit monitoring services through Epiq to help protect any impacted current and/or former patients. Lancaster Pharmacy encourages current or past patients who think their information may be at risk to call (215) 921-8778 Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Eastern Time.

Lancaster Pharmacy is committed to ensuring the security of all information within its control, and is taking steps to prevent a similar event from occurring in the future. Once again, Lancaster Pharmacy sincerely regrets any inconvenience or concern that this matter may cause, and remains dedicated to ensuring the privacy and security of all information in our control.

Sincerely,

Mamush Gebrehana
